Axios article Axiom Energy and Natural Gas Association released the report, which says Trump administration officials have “committed to reviewing the regulatory approach to natural gas and other fuels and sources of power, as well as the use of tax credits and credits for alternative energy.”
The report also says that the White House is “beginning to reconsider the Obama administration’s rule on natural gas export credits.”
The administration is considering lifting export tax credits for natural gas to help companies buy more energy, Axiom and the Natural Gas Alliance said.
The White House also is considering loosening restrictions on how much natural gas can be exported.
Axiom’s CEO, Gary Fisher, said the new report was “critical to helping the Trump administration understand the impact of its policy changes on natural energy production, and the opportunities it presents for growth and job creation.”
“The report provides further evidence that President Trump is committed to supporting natural gas development, innovation, and job growth in America,” Fisher said.
